AUTOMOTIVE GEAR OIL GL-4
MULTIPURPOSE, EXTREME-PRESSURE, API GL-4 AUTOMOTIVE GEAR LUBRICANT
Phillips 66® Automotive Gear Oil GL-4 is a multipurpose, extreme-pressure, API GL-4 automotive gear lubricant. It's crafted for use in select manual transmissions and drive axles with spiral bevel gears or hypoid gears operating under moderate speeds and loads.
Designed to provide long service life and superior gear protection, Automotive Gear Oil GL-4 excels in automotive differentials operating under diverse speed, load, temperature, and torque conditions. Its carefully balanced formulation minimizes oxidative sludge and varnish formation, reduces wear, prevents scoring damage, and guards against metal fatigue and spalling damage under moderate load conditions. It's also suitable for heavy duty commercial manual transmissions and transaxles where the OEM specifies an API GL-4 quality oil.
