AVIATION ANTI-RUST OIL
RUST & CORROSION PREVENTIVE OIL FOR AIRCRAFT PISTON ENGINES
Phillips 66® Aviation Anti-Rust Oil is a rust-preventing oil formulated to protect aircraft piston engines from rust and corrosion during extended periods of inactivity. Airframe manufacturers have long used it as "fly away oil" for new or rebuilt aircraft engines expected to remain idle for extended periods. It can also serve as "break-in oil" when an all-mineral oil is preferred, especially in cases where the engine may not immediately enter regular service.
Aviation Anti-Rust Oil is not intended for everyday use in frequently flown aircraft as it lacks ashless dispersant additives. The operation time on this oil should not exceed 10 hours. After storage, replace it with regular operational engine oil, such as Phillips 66 X/C® 20W-50 Aviation Oil, before resuming normal flight operations.
This oil is compatible with other Phillips 66 aviation engine oils. It is usable as a supplement to enhance rust and corrosion protection in infrequently flown aircraft, especially in high-humidity environments. When used as a supplement, up to 10% of the crankcase volume can be replaced with Aviation Anti-Rust Oil in place of standard operational engine oil.
