Houston, Texas — Phillips 66 Lubricants introduces Shield Euro-Tech and Shield Euro-Tech+ — two new premium-quality, full synthetic passenger car motor oils blended in America and designed to protect the sophisticated engineering of European vehicles. The new oils are among the only American-blended motor oils for gasoline-fueled and diesel-fueled vehicles that meet or exceed the specifications of major European vehicle manufacturers, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen & Porsche.
“The new Phillips 66 Shield Euro-Tech product line will allow U.S. quick lube installers to service 90% of the European automotive vehicles in and out of warranty,” said Mike Krampf, Phillips 66 Manager, Finished Lubricants. “These products will round out our complete line of Shield passenger car motor oils.”
The full synthetic formulations offer maximum protection and provide enhanced performance benefits, compared with conventional engine oils. These benefits include better oxidation resistance and thermal stability at high temperatures for improved protection against viscosity breakdown and deposit formation, lower volatility for reduced oil consumption, and better low-temperature pumpability for easier starting and faster oil circulation at low temperatures.
