Houston, Texas, December 4, 2018—Phillips 66® Lubricants, one of the largest finished lubricant suppliers in the U.S., today announced it has re-engineered its turbine oils with outstanding RPVOT retention for superior protection against oxidation and sludge/varnish. The new oils are among the highest-performing turbine oils in the Power Generation industry—with Phillips 66 Diamond Class® Turbine Oil outperforming the leading competitors by more than 60% in RPVOT* retention.

Phillips 66 Diamond Class Turbine Oil is a premium quality mineral-based turbine oil specifically designed for non-geared steam, gas and combined-cycle turbine applications operating under severe conditions.

“The next generation of our Diamond Class Turbine Oil represents years of research and development work. We are extremely proud to have developed this cutting-edge technology to solve a problem that plagues the industry today with sludge and varnish,” said Dr. Scott McQueen, Manager, Lubricants Research and Product Management.

The new Diamond Class Turbine Oil will launch during the POWER-GEN International Trade Show in Orlando, Florida, December 4-6, 2018. The Diamond Class AW Turbine Oil, specifically designed for gear driven systems, and our mainline Turbine Oils, will launch during the first quarter of 2019.
